Staz
Lindes

The London-born, California-raised Lindes, possesses a West Coast, ’90s-saturated aesthetic that has helped her amass more than 57,000 followers, all of whom rabidly double-tap her SoCal garage band ensembles of chokers and engulfing leather jackets. It’s the sort of head-turning look that made Lindes the quintessential fit for the Saint Laurent Spring 2016 runway.
Slimane discovered Lindes playing a gig in L.A. with her riot grrrl—style band, the Paranoyds. After all, rock ’n’ roll is in her blood: Her father is Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes, and she has been playing music for more than 10 years. “I’m best at guitar and bass,” she says, “but am trained in cello.”
Staz has appeared on the pages of W Magazine, American and Russian Vogue as well as walking for the likes of Jeremy Scott, Sonia Rykiel and Dior. Expect to see much more from Staz over these next 12 months in both the music and fashion worlds.

“If Staz Lindes’ look reads rock star as much as model, that’s because she’s both.”
